5 Stars Don’t be fooled!
Don’t be fooled by the Amazon message that “There is a newer version of this item.” The “newer” version is the Game of the Year edition which actually comes with an older console. These older consoles don’t contain the new Jasper chip. I just received the Resident Evil elite console in the mail today and the console is only 4 months old and it does contain a Jasper chip. By contrast, the Game of the Year editions I have seen are as much as 1 year old and have all contained either Falcon or Zephyr chips. On a related note, all of the systems I have seen packaged with Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones have also contained Falcons.

I’m sure a lot of folks probably think that the difference between Jaspers and Falcons only matters to hard-core gaming geeks, but I think it matters a little more than many people realize. The Xbox 360 has been plagued with hardware defects ever since it was released. Famously, the system is known for over-heating and for a system error colorfully called “The Red Ring of Death.” Supposedly, the Jasper chip solves these problems. For my money, that makes this package the best currently on the market.

5 Stars its an elite………..do you really have to question it.
i replaced my regular white 360 w/out an hmdi plug with the the red elite and im not looking back, its quiet as hell thanks to the chip. and its cooler and less prone to getting RED EYE. still capable of getting it but very unlikely unless you like to move the 360 around while its on like a jerk, cuz thats the main problem even if your not trying to change its stance or just picking it up to clean. that is what happens to it if you move it. i’ve had 3 360’s so i got some expertise on this. i got the package kinda messy but i dont think it was even the seller’s fault, i believe the delivery people were tryin 2 get to it, cuz the packaging that protects it was gone on the same side it was opened so slightly but i think they were trying to get to they small things that comes with the console itself. but that has nothing to do with the seller or the product, just greedy poor scumbag delivery boys…….just buy it before it runs out…………you jerks

4 Stars Xbox 360 RE combo
Hey it is what it is. It is an elite version in red bundled with a game. You should have seen already it is the jasper chip set. It is deffinetly quieter then my 360 pro editon or my Halo edition. If you can get it for the $399 price point it is worth picking up.

Only downside is Microsoft doesnt sell the red rechargable battery pack seperate. Yeah you can get the red edition controller your just out of luck chsing down the red battery pack. Some people are finicky about their stuff. Meh, I’ll live.

2 Stars WARNING
Before you buy it do a search on the “Red Ring of Death” (RRoD), Or just anything about “flashing red lights” and “xbox 360″. They should put a warning in their ads or something. I got the RRoD, I know a few people who got the RRoD, and I don’t really know too many people with an xbox 360. Based on that and just all the other people an internet search will show have gotten the problem, makes it seem to me like a common problem. Basically if you see those lights there’s something wrong with your system and you can’t play it. Sure there is a 3yr warranty to fix it, from what I understand only for the 3 red lights. Only 1yr for the 2 red lights, supposed ‘overheating’ fault, which I eventually got during a 10min game session and continue to get every once in a while. Even still with the warranty you have to send your system in to get it repaired or replaced with a refurbished system, which takes about a month to get resolved. It’s pretty annoying paying so much for a system and not being able to play it. The problem is common enough I’m not putting any more money into their system. All I’m trying to do is warn you of something I didn’t know, other than that the quality of it’s games is fine. Same old same old, just flashier graphics, as expected. I’m just frustrated with Xbox and I’m going to try and not spend any more money on Xbox and save up to get a PS3. If you’re looking for something new and original get a wii, other than that for graphics and more mature games get PS3. Anyways I just think people should know the risks they’re taking, maybe by now the problem has been addressed with a better answer than a warranty extension, but I’m just telling you my experience.

5 Stars XBOX 360 Resident Evil 5 Elite Red/Black Console
This is the first official release of the “Jasper” Elites and all i can say from having this xbox for 60 days now it runs hella nice! when compared side by side with my black xbox elite, the resident evil version runs quieter, uses less energy and doesn’t create as much heat! the power supply uses 150 watts and 12.1 amps and i can tell you from experience i put the box to a good 8 hour session several times and my resident evil jasper elite doesn’t even sound or feel like its been running at all…and while i ran my black elite falcon box it would be hot and sound like an oscillating fan (exaggerating to a degree).

you can’t beat the price though its an elite and it comes with resident evil 5 for free! which is by the way an awesome game..and as an added bonus it comes with codes for streetfighter 2 hd remix for free and others as well. you get all the same stuff as a regular elite except these are the jasper xbox’s and its all red with black. the 120 hdd is black and chrome the front is mixed with black and chrome and the controllers are black and red. as of now the only wireless accessories you can buy for it in red and black are the controllers with the play and charge kit, you cant buy the play and charge kit by its self and you can’t buy the controller by its self only the package with both together. which kind of sucks because the elite comes with a wireless red and black controller so to get the red play and charge kit for it you will need to pay extra money for the one that has the controller with it..so i got two controller with only one play and charge kit.

on the other hand if your not a huge resident evil fan and you aren’t taken away with the colors go with the regular black xbox elite because now they come with fable 2 and halo 3 for free which are both game of the year titles and soon will be getting the platinum hits collection. but be aware that the new black xbox elites offering fable 2 and halo 3 for free aren’t jasper elites, they are in fact older model xbox’s repackaged in newer factory wrapping.

5 Stars Great Network Item for the 360!
I was kind of sketchy about getting this item at first, got a deal on the shipping so i went for it…was better than spending 100bucks for the 360 wireless adapter. I plugged it in and went to the network settings whitch i read was hard to get to but it wasnt….if you cant find it go to the last tab on the right and its Network how hard is that? well i go there and it has already picked up my network. The only down side to this is it is ONLY WEP less security but w/e i can live with that. I have no lag my downloads are fast. I have nothing to complain about and would reccomend this product for ANYONE WHO CAN LIVE USEING WEP!!!

5 Stars Perfect!
Works perfect for Xbox 360. Dont bother spending the extra 50 bucks on the other one when this one works perfectly. You can also stream media from your PC via this and the 360. Pretty cool….

5 Stars Wireless Adapter for Xbox or Xbox 360
This is a more affordable option compared to the new USB Xbox 360 wireless adapter; if you dont mind using the ethernet adapter on the Xbox 360 and the fact that it will sit on top of the unit and a diffrent color(Black) and a external power supply.

Installation was a brezze and straight forward just connect to your wireless access point and you are done.

If you are looking to save a few bucks and are looking to ave the same funtionality this is your best bet because it’s made by Microsoft and it is fully compatible with both units.

I hope that this review helps you on making a decision on your purchase.

5 Stars Works great with Xbox 360
This adapter is cheaper than the USB wireless adapter and is easy to use. It simply uses a cat5 cable to plug into the Xbox 360 and then plugs into the wall. When you turn on your 360 go to the network settings and enter your network information, but don’t use the CD included with this product. I read that other have had problems when they tried to run the CD so I didn’t use it. The Xbox 360 is pre-setup to interact with this type of network adapter and will recognize it when you start-up with the adapter attached. I’ve played Xbox live and downloaded lots of videos and had no problems. The speed is only limited by your connection speed. This adapter works with 802.11 B/G and can transfer 54Mbps (most high-speed internet connections run at around 5 to 16Mbps).

5 Stars Works fine
I have an xbox 360 and it works fine. Just did what everybody else on here said and didn’t use the installation disk.

5 Stars Works Great With Xbox 360
This thing works great with the Xbox 360. I just plugged it in, entered my 26 digit encryption code, and it worked flawlessly. The funny thing is that I couldn’t get it to work with my original Xbox.

This thing is much cheaper than the 360 version of the wireless adapter, and it works just as well. So save yourself a few bucks and get this version.

5 Stars Best price out there & works on the ORIGINAL Xbox too!
First off I would like to say that this wireless adapter is compatible with the ORIGINAL Xbox. I was skeptical until I found the model number on Microsoft’s website and it matched the one listed here. I also looked at several vendors both online and local to compare prices, noting that they all charged around $100 I was very happy to find Amazon selling at a reasonable price. My son was anxious to get set up online so we ordered on Thursday using our Prime account and it arrive on Saturday. I think the most difficult part was removing it from the packaging, otherwise he was set up within minutes. Overall a good deal and easy purchase. I would recommend this item to others looking to go Live.

5 Stars Excellent 360 adapter!!!
Just like some of the other reviewers are saying this works perfectly fine with a 360. I tried using a 3rd party adapter and that was a huge mistake. Kept dropping me off my network. It has been about 30 days since I hooked this adapter up and have not had one problem. Do not use the included disc and just config the adapter for your network, you will be online playing your favorite game in no time.

5 Stars Works like a charm!
This adapter works perfect with the 360 at half the price of the 360 adapter.

3 Stars Xbox Wireless Network Adapter MN740
Works with the Xbox360, just don’t install the drivers on the disc that comes with the adapter. The connection speed of this adapter is very slow and that is with a 3.0 mbs dsl line, so if u want a fast connection choose a different adapter.
