1 Star WASTE OF MONEY!
As Usual. MADDEN. Always not a good game. Graphics is so poorly made. The movement of the players are like mascots. I wish some companies make an NFL football game. HELLO 2K Sports! Can you make an NFL game? EA SPORTS, They do not make quality games!

2 Stars Worst Madden EA Has Ever Released
I am very disappointed with this madden. The graphics are subpar, there’s no pregame or postgame presentation, controls are somewhat confusing, and the new madden IQ is one of the most awkward things I’ve ever encountered in a videogame. To actually finish one game takes about as much labor as playing a real game of football.

3 Stars Higher Expectations
I had high expectations of this game since it was advertised to be the best ever. It’s not any different than 2008’s with the exception of different tackles and more annoying statistical boxes that won’t close immediately, but will chew up precious seconds from the game clock. Madden Rewind is a nice feature to help your stats when you accidentally fumble or throw an interception. However, it’s not consistent.

1 Star Started 4 Games completed 1!!!!
I wish I could have been able to give this game a more honest review because from what I was able to see the graphics were heightened and the difficulty set to your personal playing level seemed like an improvement.

But the time-line went a little something like this: I started a franchise with the Lions (I know) went through the Madden test to receive my Madden IQ (how the game is fine-tuned to your playing level) and around the 4 minute mark the game FROZE after a tackle (I even intercepted the ball!).

I restarted the entire process right away after turning the game off of course. IQ test, preseason pre-game training (how you increase your players’ stats – rather pain staking for so measly little upgrades), I SAVED the thing and started my first game. Froze. Second period during the play call screen. Game off for the night.

Next day: Turned on load saved game and tried again. FINISHED THE GAME. I lost. BUT I FINISHED MY FIRST GAME. Hey I’m 1/3. Saved. Second game. Froze in the first period. Game off for the night.

Next day: Walked into EB and returned the stupid game. Never another Madden game ever. Went home and enjoyed 2K5 on the ps2. Waiting for Fallout 3.

The end. This might not be you. Check EA forums for similar stories and updates on the problem.

5 Stars Better every year
As anyone familiar w/ the Madden games knows, it’s the premier product in gaming for football and this year’s improvement is significant. The graphics are fantastic, Chris Collinsworth’s commentary ads a nice new voice to the background.

I can’t tell that the IQ thing really makes much difference at this point…but perhaps I don’t completely understand what it’s supposed to do.

Highly recommended…my 9 year old son absolutely loves this game and plays it much more than I do…and kicks my butt every time we play.

5 Stars As always one step ahead of the NCAA franchise
The production values, features, and graphics are always one step ahead of NCAA even though they’re both EA football games. It’s quite the game, I just gave the “fun” 4 stars because my heart is in college football.

3 Stars Madden 08? more like Badden 08
For This review I’m going to talk about Madden. First of all, I just want to say that you shouldnt spend more than 20 dollars for this game we call football. Madden is almost impossible to play if ur not playing on pro difficulty, but then its waaaaay to easy. If u do play on all pro against the computer, be aware u that u will not get any of your recievers to get open no matter what play u call. The computer will intercept and bat down every pass u throw. even when u have a wide open reciever the computer will cheat when will underthrow him horribly. The announcer sucks with his recycled madden lines. Player design isnt the best either. Whats worse is the fact that players run like robots.

The good things are the fact that the Stadiums look beautiful and the online play is great. But if u dont hav xbox live or PSN u better find someone to play against or youll be stuck either blowing out the computer or vice versa. There are tons of game modes for u to play and they are really fun. The player weapons are a nice touch that makes u have to have a strategy.

Overall 3.5 out of 5, gameplay 3 out of 5, grapics 3.5 out of 5, presantation 2 out of 5, game modes 5 out of 5

5 Stars Non Stop Action
this game never gets boring. because each game you play. is different from the last.

4 Stars Thank god it’s not broken!!!1
Madden05 for PS2 is the last playable Madden Game I played,Till last friday. I didnt want to buy it because madden 07 scared the crap out of me to purchase anything with a EA logo on it. If you like Madden then you will most likely like this game or atleast find it playable.

5 Stars madden fan
This game is cool I just get a joy out of watching my fiance play this game.

I bet you're trying to find a reason to spend $90+ on a collector's edition of a game that you'll buy again in a year. While the Collector's Edition of Madden NFL Football 09 Doesn't feature everyone's favorite Packer Jet Interception Machine Gunslinger, it does come with a slightly discounted copy of NFL Head Coach 09.
