Intriguing Plot Twists
In previous games, the war between the Allies and Soviets was coming to a close with the Allies nearing victory. In desperation, the Soviets created a time-travel device that they’ve used to assassinate Albert Einstein before he is able to develop the weapon technology the Allies later use to defeat the Soviets. Upon returning, they notice a new world, and there is a world war taking place between three groups for control of the world.

Red Alert 3 continues Command and Conquer’s tradition of using live-action video scenes to tell the story. Presented in beautiful, high-definition video, Red Alert 3 features of an hour of footage with the largest cast ever assembled in the franchise. Play As Three Different Factions for Varied game play
In Red Alert 3, you have the choice to play as the Allies, the Soviets, or the Empire of the Rising Sun. Each faction has its own story-line and distinct units with advantages and disadvantages that you have to master in order to win. The new faction to the series is the Empire of the Rising Sun, derived from Imperial Japan, with an all-new cast of units and characters.

The three factions have many differences, which is exemplified by their wildly different types of units. The Soviets, for example, have armored attack bears, Allies have the Dolphin ship which can high jump and use a sonic attack, and the Empire of the Rising Sun features such quirky units as a giant transforming mecha and ninjas. As they’ve done with the series, EA injects humor into the game when possible, keeping a smile on your face as you wage war.

Fight on Land, in the Air, and on Sea
Red Alert 3 has land units, air units, and naval units, all integral parts of the game. Unlike most strategy games that don’t bother with naval warfare, Red Alert 3 makes controlling the seas an essential part of the game. Controlling resources in the seas and mounting attacks from all directions are strategies that must be employed to achieve victory.

Cooperative Mode Lets You Team Up with Your Friends
Red Alert 3 has a fully co-operative campaign mode where you and a friend can play together to achieve victory. This means that you have to develop a strategy together, as well as execute it in synch in order to win. If your friends aren’t online, you can also choose one of several AI commanders as your teammate.

Play Against Your Friends in Multiplayer
With the different units and play mechanics of each faction, you and your friends will have a great time playing against each other, perfecting different strategies to best suit the units you have and the maps you play on. And thanks to the balanced game play, no one will have an unfair advantage.

Innovative Interface for Xbox 360
Real-time strategy games have traditionally been the PC gamer’s domain, but thanks to a new and enhanced version the CommandStick interface implemented in Red Alert 3, Xbox 360 gamers will have a control scheme that offers the speed and efficiency of the keyboard and mouse.

For previous fans of Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 will provide the same light-hearted game play, but with more units, more strategies, and more fun. Newcomers to the game will soon see what all the fuss and laughter is about.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Welcome back commander
Like the other command and conquers on a console , you use the command stick . There are 3 campaines , and each faction gets many units . Unlike other RTS titles water combat is well implimented . Fans of the series should recignize the trade mark silliness and the silly acting . The special powers , are aquired like in Generals .

5 Stars great game
This game is highly addictive. I got this game around the same time I got Fallout3, Left 4 Dead and End War. I was surprised how great this game is. I’ve always loved the Red Alert series. This one doesn’t fall short.

RTS on a console is a little different than a PC. However, once you make the switch for an hour or two, you hardly miss the controls of a keyboard and a mouse. The UI (the way they designed the controls) was well thought out.

This game has been so addictive that I’ve put Fallout 3, End War, and Forza 2 aside for the time being.

4 Stars Very Steep Learning Curve
If you can get passed the RTS on a console controller ordeal (cramming way too many features onto way too few buttons) then you can really enjoy a great game. The control scheme is frustrating as all get out and can really put the cramp on things when you need to get through the menus quickly whilst you’re under attack.

All that aside, the game is a lot of fun and the videos are unintentionally hilarious.

5 Stars Great Game
This game is really good, but honestly it doesnt beat Red Alert 2. But so far EA has done a good job with C&C games that they have developed, controls are easy to use on the Xbox 360

5 Stars Definately one of the better functioning RTS’s on a console
Old school keyboard and mouse player here. Can honestly say this is the best functioning RTS on a console.

Stoked

Stoked

Stoked for Xbox 360 by Destineer, and developed by Bongfish, brings you the thrill of back country snowboarding and the chance to explore real-world locales in the comfort of your living room. With five huge renowned mountains all yours to play with, Stoked lets you bypass the typical stale resorts for a unique and exhilarating ride experience every time.

Stoked gives you five full mountains to explore and ride. View larger.

Snow accumulates on the ground, changing the terrain in real time. View larger.

Take photos of other snowboarders doing spectacular jumps and tricks. View larger.

Perform different tricks and develop your own style. View larger.

Real Riders, Real Sponsors, Real Mountains
Stoked gives you a taste of the real thing, with authenticity stamped all over the game. Renowned riders such as Nicolas Mueller, Travis Rice, Annie Boulanger, Wolle Nyvelt, Tadashi Fuse, and Romain de Marchi are featured in the game, as well as popular sponsors such as Burton, Von Zipper, Billabong, Oakley, Vans, and more. Throughout the game, you’ll have opportunities to customize your character and his or her style.

The real stars, however, are the five mountains: Mt. Fuji, Alaska, Mt. Shuksan, Almirante Nieto, and Diablerets in the Swiss Alps. On each peak, you’ll have more than 45 square-miles of open terrain to explore, and with the help of a helicopter, you’ll be able to find new drop points.

As you ride, you’ll have to complete different challenges on each run. You’ll be able to perform a wide variety of tricks that run the gamut from jumps to grinds to grabs, all with the analog sticks for a great amount of control.

Dynamic Weather Changes That Affect Gameplay
The weather changes unpredictably in real time and affects the game. The game clock is tied to the real world clock, so if you turn the game on at 10PM, you’ll be doing some night riding, while you’ll be ready for some glare when you ride at noon. If it is snowing, you’ll actually notice the snow accumulate onto the ground over time, opening up new paths and opportunities for different tricks. Going down the same path can be a wildly different experience!

Get Famous and Have Others Mimic You
As you progress in the game and become famous, other riders will start mimicking your style. Whether you are a hucker or stylish snowboarder, you’ll notice riders on your mountain emulate you. You’ll also notice, as you develop your own style, that your own idiosyncrasies change both in the air and on the ground.

Go On a Group Ride with Your Friends
You can invite your friends for an instant drop-in at any time, and create cooperative and competitive challenges starting from custom drop points. There are also Xbox Live sponsored events where you can put yourself up against other boarders to gain more fame.

Take Photos of Your Surroundings and Other Riders
If you ever take a breather while riding, you can whip out your camera and take photos of your surroundings or other snowboarders pulling off tricks. When playing multiplayer, you’ll be able to take pictures of your friends doing tricks — or a face plant — and send them along.

5 Stars Shaun White Snowboarding vs. Stoked….what to choose?
Ok if u are looking to find a snowboarding game for xbox 360 your best bet is Stoked but first I will tell u my story about why I got Stoked! I had touble choosing Shaun White Snowboarding or Stoked. I was going to get both but I Looked into both of them first. My friend has a ps3. He also has Shaun White Snowboarding so I went to his house to try it out. I was like “WOW this is a great game”! I asked my friend if he liked it but he told me “NOO”! He knew I had a xbox 360 so he told me to get Stoked instead. So I went home and like my friend said “Buy Stoked instead” and I did. When I ordered my game half though the week. I felt that Am I wastin my money on this game? When It came in the mail I was so happy! I played for a couple of hours and I was happy that I got Stoked! I ski in real life and my coz is a snowboarder. I think Stoked is as real as it gets!!!! When I play it I wish I can be at the real mountains but I can’t…lol! This is what I like about Shaun White Snowboarding. It is a great game! Good soundtrack, chair lifts feel just like the real thing, lots of jumps, The best part is that u can take your snowboard off and throw snow balls at people too! NOW Stoked. I like the real time weather it does change thing ALOT!!! The snow looks great. feels like u go faster in Stoked than Shaun White Snowboarding. Soundtrack is alright u might not know any of the music. The last thing I have to say that If they make Stoked 2 (they should) they should put in the game skiing because so u can change between skiing and snowboarding! If u get Stoked U wont be disappointed (unless u like fake snowboarding). But its all up to u.

3 Stars Another snowboard game that just doesn’t quite meet the “Skate” Bar
Everyone knows it, the Skate series has set the bar for board sports games. Stoked is like the fat guy at the limbo, just barely makes it under the bar then scratches his belly on the stick and looses. I’ve been playing Stoked for a few weeks now and I’m enjoying it, but it’s hella slow, reward system, and challenges are kinda weak. It’s definitely not motivating me to rush home and play every day, much like the before mentioned Skate series.

What is good:

- Open mountains. Pretty sick how you can go anywhere, once you get the trick system down you can really throw down, especially on some of the bigger mountains. Once you get the heli it’s on. Just drop yourself off wherever and rip it. I heard they are GPS mapped. Pretty sick to ride Mount Shuksan being that I grew up at Baker, but err, not sure how accurate it is.

- Free riding. Screw points, cheevo’s, and all that hoopla. If you’re a snowboarder, you’ll probably just dig trying to trick off big hits, changing up the cam and watching yourself rip. Weather system is kinda cool. First day I got a 4ft powder dump I went mad just slashing up the pow and checking out the helicopter view.

- Multi player with your buddies. First night my friends and I synced up we found a nice keekor and had a session, taking turns snapping photos. Everyone was having a great time and laughing our butts off. Pretty much what we do when we go ride BC kickers for real. A couple nights later we just got together and started following each others favorite lines. Kinda rad to have a game which you actually go discover favorite lines, much like you’d do on a real hill.

Bad:

-Feedback system. There’s no clue when you are advancing to the next “level” really. I must have beat challenges for hours until I finally got into the sponsor challenges. By that point I was kinda annoyed.

-Lack of good challenges. Just kinda repeats itself. I really hate the whole “do this specific trick” kinda challenges too. Some of them are so hard it’s not even funny. 1990 called, Damian Sanders wants his Iguana backflip back, this game’s not worthy. That and the whole lame rail stuff could’ve just been left out instead of being a major challenge factor. This game is really going for a whole freeride snowboarding perspective but then you gotta go slide logs to beat challenges. They could’ve just put park levels in if they really felt the need to put in rails.

-Sloowww. Did I mention that this game is slow? Seriously ridiculously slow. When is something gonna happen already.

Overall, this game is fun, but isn’t going floor you with it’s spectacular raddness. It tries to adopt the Skate controls system, but kinda falls flat.

If you dedicate a few hours and get through the slow beginning, the fun will kick in. I probably like it more than most just cause I’ve been snowboarding for 25 years. That and since I only paid $35 for the game, I didn’t feel like I got robbed for not getting the most epic game ever.

What do I know though, I was impressed when HEAVY SHREDDIN’ hit the NES, I played that POS till my thumbs went numb.

5 Stars best snowboarding game to date
This is by far the best and most fun game on the market. For those who have played the Skate games then it will be extremely easy to get used to this game as the controls are very similar as is the overall playability of the game. There are many different mountains from around the globe as the levels. As mentioned, you do different challenges that are comparable to the ones from Amped 2. Speaking of which, in my opinion was the best game until this one came out and still holds down the solid number two spot. You are able to ride any part of the mountain and do all sorts of tricks. You can go fast and huge! Once you get 50,000 points on every run you unlock the ability to fly the helicopter for that mountain! This lets you fly around until you find a line that looks sick and jump out and ride it! There are tons of cool features but the main thing is this game is just freakin awesome. The best, most fun snowboarding game out there.

4 Stars Hmm, I’m not a snowboarder…
Alright, I got this game because I really needed something different. I’ve driven for thousands of miles, head-shot millions of people, boosted countless cars… I needed a change.

I like Stoked. It definitely gave me a change of pace. The graphics are good an they’re thoughtful – your guy gets covered with snow when he wipes out, or when it’s snowing hard. He shakes his head when he wipes out – it’s creative and realistic. Supposedly the weather is dynamic – I’ve seen it be cloudy, then turn sunny. Every once in a while it snows, but not too often. I haven’t seen a lot of options for customizing, but I hear that improves as time goes on.

The mountains are HUGE, but tend to be somewhat sparse. You feel like you ski forever with nothing to jump from. The problem is I’m trying to look for obvious jumps, when many point-grabbing activities in Stoked aren’t readily obvious. You’ve gotta get a little more creative. The option is there, but for a rookie, I’m not used to it just yet.

The biggest problem I have with Stoked is that I’ve never snowboarded in my life. The tricks all have titles, and I’ve never heard of them before. The manual or in-game “bible” helps a little bit, but simple terms like “switch” mean nothing to me. I have no idea what it’s asking me to do. I go online to try to find help, and find other players getting laughed at because they don’t know what the terms mean. That’s bull. I could talk circles around these people when it comes to automotive terminology – can’t we just be nice and answer the questions?

I too found the first few hours to be boring – and challenging – as I learmed the basics, both trick-wise and terminology-wise. I’ve read that the game opens up after your first 66 fame points, which I just earned. So we’ll see what happens.

If you’re a snowboarder, you’ll probably like this game. If it’s as Greek to you as it is to me, you might have trouble getting into it.

5 Stars love this game
As a snowboarder, I feel this may be the best snowboarding game made yet. I think people who don’t really snowboard or who only stick to the terrain parks may not appreciate the game to the fullest. It does take a loooooong time to get into some of the more interesting challenges and some of them are extremely difficult– but that is a good thing!

1 Star 2K9 … The Year of the Glitch
I picked up MLB 2K9 at midnight on release day from my local videogame store. I had high hopes, since 2K hyped this game as much-improved over the disappointment that was MLB 2K8.

At first, 2K9 looked to have some promise, but then a number of game-killing glitches entered the picture.

First thing I noticed was the inability of user-controlled outfielders to catch can-of-corn fly balls. I was controlling Ichiro of the Seattle Mariners in one game, and I watched him allow a ball to smack him squarely in the head before he made a motion to attempt a catch. Other instances of this glitch had the ball fly past a fielder before any effort to catch it was made, resulting in an in-the-park home run. I lost more than a few games thanks to this glitch. And no matter what anyone says, these fly ball problems still occur post-patches.

The next batch of glitches that turned me against MLB 2K9 are Franchise freeze and stat issues. I started several different Franchise modes with several different teams. In each instance, I made sure to save several times so I had back-ups in case freezing occurred.

All of them encountered freezes! Simming past the freezing point helped at first, but as I tried to advance to the third season of my third Franchise, the game locked up and wouldn’t progress to the next regular season. Unacceptable.

As for stats, I had 10 players in the majors with the exact same stat line in one Franchise. While not a problem at first glance, the stats themselves showed that each player played over 300 games in a single season, driving in over 200 runs a piece (an MLB season, for those who may not know, is 162 games long…and top-level hitters tend to drive in anywhere between 100 and 150 RBI in a season). These players were then awarded all year-end awards due to their inflated stats.

There were also instances of players changing their skin color after returning from minor league stints, players unable to be taken off the disabled list unless they were sent to the minors, and many other shake-your-head-in-disbelief moments. Franchise problems ruined the game for me, since I strictly play Franchise mode in sports games.

Another angle of frustration is the apparent lack of care for the consumer that 2K displays. Thousands of people have viewed a Franchise freeze thread on their message boards at [...], yet they are unable to say whether a fix is in the works or not. This kind of lack of communication is making me never want to purchase a 2K Sports game again.

Needless to say, I sold this game in early April, just over a month after release. MVP Baseball 2005 for Xbox and MLB ‘09 on PSP provide much better baseball experiences on videogame consoles.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from MLB 2K9.

1 Star Even your lowest expectations will not be met.
This game is made by the same people who make the Grand Theft Auto series. These people know how to make a good game. It is as if – with this – the just decided not to.

The graphics are beautiful, don’t get me wrong. In terms of appearance, this is the most cutting edge, vibrantly sophisticated representation of baseball I’ve ever seen.

The game play is horrible. There are so many glitches, from every player on the field diving forward at the same time, to the first basemen running to the bag but stopping next to it and watching the guy tag safely.

If you are looking for a pretty baseball game, but don’t really care about baseball – this is for you. If you are looking for an upgrade to EA Sports MVP Baseball 2005 – you will be frustrated, let down, and ripped off.

5 Stars negative feedback?
Ok I was a bit skeptical about buying this after all the one star reviews but i did anyways because i love baseball, and this game turn out to be one of my favorite its great graphics oh and there hasnt been a glitch yet and i’ve played it for about a month now so i do recommend this only if you have a xbox its a great game but mlb the show is alot better

4 Stars Better than Advertised
I read a lot of the reviews for this game that complained of poor gameplay, awful glitches, and a disappointing experience overall, but I was really jonesing for some baseball so I decided to take a chance. I have to say that I am very happy with the game thus far. Maybe the patch that was released fixed most of the issues. Yes, fielding is difficult, and the controls took a little getting used to, but I really don’t have a lot to complain about. The graphics are excellent, the presentation is good, and the game plays smoothly. I have not run into any of the glitches that I have read about. Yes, the first baseman foot was off the bag once but that’s because my shortstop’s poor throw pulled him off the bag (as I said, I find the fielding difficult). I have not tried the MP yet so I cannot comment on it. Is the game perfect, no, but I find it enjoyable and look forward to immersing myself in the franchise mode.

5 Stars The best baseball game yet…
I don’t know what everyone is complaining about.

This is a really great game that I get into very easily.

Each night after work I come home and play my franchise game of MLB 2K9. It is something I really look forward to.

One way I measure if a sports game is doing its job or not is the emotional factor of how I get involved in the game. Just like supporting a team in real life, when I win or make a good play, I’m really happy and excited, but on the other hand if my team is playing badly and not getting hits and pitching badly, I get upset. MLB 2K9 does a great job of getting you involved in the game.

The graphics are awesome at 1080i and the sounds are great, and this game comes with the best commentary yet in a sports game.

The only problem I’ve had with this game is the fielding, the players sometimes seem to ’slow down’ when you are chasing some of the balls, and this can be frustrating when a player has a long way to run. This only happens sometimes but is frustrating.

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this game, 2K9 does a great job of delivering a baseball experience that in my opinion is nearly flawless.

Pro Evolution Soccer 09

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 for Xbox 360 by Konami is the latest update to the award-winning soccer series, with new additions, smarter AI, and better graphics for a more realistic game than ever before. With exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League, this game will let you play as and against your favorite UEFA players and teams.

Exclusive UEFA Champions League License
New to the Pro Evolution Soccer series is an exclusive UEFA Champions League license. The UEFA Champions League is Europe’s greatest club competition, and the license means the game will have all the elements and attributes of the Champion League Competition. The Ligue 1 Orange and Eredivisie are both fully licensed, and the England League (Premier League), Italian League (Serie A) and Spanish League (La Liga) are partially licensed. Manchester United and Liverpool are the licensed English clubs in Pro Evolution Soccer 2009.

The UEFA Champions League mode is given a new television-style presentation, where you get dramatic camera angles on replays, videos, and banner ads. Along with the official team names, upgraded graphics, and more life-like player movements, others watching you play might mistake the video game for an actual game on TV.

Become a Legend with New gameplay Mode
The new Become a Legend mode lets you create a player from scratch and focus on the individual player rather than a team. The game lets you customize the player down to the smallest detail, including his free kick run-up and celebration routine. If you use a supported camera, you can even put your face on the player and create team emblems. After you’ve created your character, the more you practice and play, the more he improves.

After you have a legend you’re satisfied with, you can export him to an online legends game with four other players, where you team up and play against computer teams.

Realistic Ball Movement
Balls now move around more realistically thanks to adjustments for friction, air resistance, backspin, and more. This allows for new strategies and techniques such as lifting balls over defenders legs and doing tee shots. Improvements have also been made in passing, and the reactions of your teammates. The upshot is a game that looks and plays more like real life.

Play With and Against Friends Online
In addition to the Legend online mode, you can also challenge your friend to a 1-on-1 match. If your friends aren’t online, there is also a quickmatch option that pairs you to a random online player.

With its exclusive UEFA Champions League license and updated ball movement and graphics, Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 will have soccer fans cheering.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars great game, do not listen to review on bottom which is one star
THIS is an *AWESOME* game. The graphics might be a little bit worse than fifa 09 but since it got their UEFA champions league license its all good. pes has better gameplay than fifa. Do NOT listen to review on bottom

1 Star Game play
Pes 2009 needs alot and i repeat alot of improvement.

player movement on the ball is good but thats about it. Konami developers need to learn the rules of the game. the offside play is over the top and refferees are so card happy, soccer is a contact sport and i dont think a card should be shown for every body contact especially when you play against a tough team. the throw in plays leave you with very little options and you get a red card for every slide tackle on the wings even if you make clear contact with the ball and you are not the last man in defence.

But worst of all in the competition mode with one player setting, as you advance to the final stages of the competition the programme is rigged to make sure you loose even in regular mode. Your team all of a sudden cant seen to do anything right, and the computer’s team cant seem to do anything wrong. Your team becomes sluggish on the ball, crucial passes never get to their target, crosses are always intercepted, they get flat footed in front of goal, chances that should easily be converted all of a sudden gets balloned all over the place except into the net, I love a tough match with a good side but i dont think it is fair for the programme to completely disable my team in every aspect leaving me no choice but to chase the opponents all over the pitch for the entire game due to the fact that all their passes are so accurate it is unreal and the ball just keeps bouncing in their favour.

And lastly vast portions of the pitch behind the full backs is always undefended during attacking plays. I hope hope they do alot of home work before releasing the next version by studying the rules of the game, refferring and please dont disable my team to create the experience of a tough encounter, it’s terribly frustrating.

4 Stars Nice
Always a fan of Winning Eleven or the now called PES the play mechanics are still top notch and a fun as always. The down side is still what i’ve had a problem with these games, lack of officially licensed teams. The edit mode is now more robust than it use to be last year which allows me to create my favorite teams. love the game.

5 Stars Wack
is beenn a month and i had yet to received the video game, if anything i think people shouldnt purchase anything from this vendor at all.. i would have to give it 4 thumbs down to this vendor

4 Stars fun game
the game is pretty sick if you like soccer and spacing the field out. shooting is particularly odd / difficult.. but I imagine they want you to log in some hours before it becomes second nature!

You’ll need to uncover the hidden strengths and weaknesses of each unit and play them to your tactical advantage, and that’s just the beginning.

UNSC: Be Part of a Legendary Conflict
The story opens with UNSC forces retaking the planet Harvest from the Covenant. At your disposal — should you choose to take command of UNSC forces — will be everything from a corps of highly-trained Marines to the Warthogs, Scorpions, and Hornets you’ll need for air and land attacks. You’ll take stock of the map and decide between holding your ground or advancing on enemy strongholds, all while trying to navigate the local terrain and outsmart Covenant forces. And when you need something extra to tip the tide in your favor, UNSC leaders can provide you with the ability to mobilize highly specialized units or call the Spirit of Fire vessel for support from above. And with this collector’s edition, you also get access to the Honor Guard Wraith, a truly unique in-game vehicle with awesome capabilities.

Covenant: A Capable, Playable Enemy Faction
That’s right, Covenant is playable in this corner of the Halo universe. This alliance of alien species has manipulated advanced technology, firepower, and tactical prowess into a powerful force that is engaged in a Genocidal war against human race, having branded humans as heretics. With the ability to play as these tough, alien fighters, you’ll have advanced shield technology, the modular Citadel at the heart of Covenant’s colonizing power, and, of course, the iconic Scarab attack vehicle at your disposal, adding a whole new dimension to your strategic warfare. The Scarab is a terrifying military vehicle crafted from heavy mining equipment. And with a mining laser that delivers massive damage across battlefields large and small, turrets for taking on air attacks, and the ability to clamber over any terrain, what’s not to love about commanding Scarabs instead of fighting against them?

Developed Exclusively for Xbox 360
Most console RTS games are adapted from existing PC games, which can make their controls bulky or awkward, but Halo Wars has been developed for Xbox 360 from the ground up. This means the controls are sensitive, intuitive, and easy-to-operate in the midst of battle. And the UI is just as intuitive, so whether you’re managing a unit of marines or a deadly machine, you can focus on creating a battle strategy instead of worrying about how to overcome a clumsy controller.

No matter which faction you choose to play as, you can test your skills against those of other players in online skirmishes that allow up to six players with the New Xbox Experience through Xbox LIVE.

In addition to including the standard retail version of Halo Wars , this Collector’s Edition includes:

  • The Mythic Map Pack from Bungie with three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps: Assembly, Orbital, and Sandbox.
  • Halo Wars: Genesis, a graphic novel by Phil Noto, Graeme Devine, and Eric Nylund that follows the Spirit of Fire and examines the very first UNSC military campaign against the Covenant
  • Access to the Covenant Honor Guard Wraith in-game vehicle
  • Six Leader Cards representing Leaders’ with access to elite skills
  • A Spirit of Fire Patch for identifying yourself as a real crew member

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Halo Wars Limited Edition = Win
I first tried the demo on Xbox Live Marketplace and was instantly hooked, and shortly thereafter found out the limited edition is the same price on Amazon as the regular edition is in stores. So if you liked the demo, and like to save a little money, pick this up.

The game works very very well for being an RTS on a console, at times the game can be choppy but really only if you have a bunch of squads on the screen at any given time. The music is great, very Halo-like.

At first I was expecting to play both the Human and Covenant campaigns but I eventually found out, its the Human missions and thats it, 15 in total. But the game also includes a nice Skirmish mode and Online Multiplayer. I myself have yet to explore the multiplayer but the skirmish gives you a good idea of what it might be like.

If you’ve played the demo and liked it, and if you have Halo 3 but haven’t bought the Mythic Map Pack I strongly recommend buying this.

4 Stars Wicked game, plus good extras.
This is a very good game! I recomend this to any halo fan, except the people that are all FPS and no story. The extras are cool bit a little useless. You should get THIIIIIIIS!!!!

5 Stars Halo Wars – ROCKS!!!
The overall verdict on this product from the men in the house is that it is ASTOUNDINGLY GREAT!!!!

4 Stars Good if you like the genre
I’m not ganna make this long, try the demo, give it some time and if you like it, you will like the game. If you don’t like the demo, you won’t like the game

1 Star NOT FUN
OH man did I ever HATE this game. And there is no bigger fan of the HALO series including games, books, and comics. But this thing just stunk. I played it for 20 minutes and just couldn’t stand it. Pulled it out of the XBOX and put it in the ‘give away’ pile. They got their money from me but darn sure won’t get anymore. Going back to HALO 3 which i’ve played through I bet 30 times but HALO WARS is out of my house.
