Halo 3

Halo 3 is the third game in the Halo Trilogy and the thrilling conclusion to the events begun in Halo: Combat Evolved. Master Chief returns to finish the fight, bringing the epic conflict between the Covenant, the Flood, and the entire human race to a dramatic, pulse-pounding climax. The Covenant occupation of Earth has uncovered a massive and ancient object beneath the African sands – an object whose secrets have yet to be revealed. Earth’s forces are battered and beaten. The Master Chief’s AI companion Cortana is still trapped in the clutches of the Gravemind – a horrifying Flood intelligence, and a civil war is raging in the heart of the Covenant. It’s all been building to this — a desperate, final war that leads to a soul-shattering climax of epic proportions. Take control of Master Chief to defeat the Covenant and destroy the Flood to prevent the annihilation of the human race.

3 Stars Bungie is trying to earn an easy buck.
Bungie Studios really screwed up in Halo 3. The campaign is fun for a little bit, but then it gets redundant and boring. Secondly, the XBOX LIVE levels are not as great as Halo 2. Bungie refuses to release new maps for free like they did with their predecessors. I feel like they are just trying to make a quick way to earn a dollar. Because of that, I refuse to purchase any new Halo maps if they released them for free after a couple of months on Halo 2. I am totally disappointed in the Halo series. They were top notch two to three years ago, but they are slowly losing credibility. Congratulations Bungie (sarcasm), maybe you should focus more on public opinions rather than earning a couple more dollars in your wallet by charging for new levels that are a year old.

5 Stars great
I had bought this game when it first came out, but had traded it in. Recently though, I had a desire to play it again. When I got it and started playing, it is just as fun as it ever was.

5 Stars Great game, excellent gameplay
This Halo game being the last of trilogy, not including Halo: ODST, is a great sequel with new weapons and great maps for multiplayer. A must have game for xbox 360, there are lots of achievements and downloadable content. One of my favorite gamemodes being custom games and forge where you edit maps. Plus online multiplayer; capture the flag, slayer, griffball, team slayer, and more. The campaign was good, it had few levels but each one had missions that were somewhat long but enjoyable. Overall 10/10.

5 Stars Nice catch
The price was really good and the quality of the game was as described. My son is very happy with it.

5 Stars The best FPS multiplayer experience out there
When it comes to first person shooters, it doesn’t get any better than Halo 3. The game is relatively old now, but it’s still the most popular game on the Xbox 360. And for good reason. The graphics are excellent, the weapons are inventive, and the game just never gets old. There are nearly an infinite number of ways to play the game depending on your preferences. You can team up with friends, play a rated match to improve your rank, go free-for-all, go in teams of 2, or just play for fun in social slayer. Weapons can also be customized so that you can start the map with anything from rockets to swords to battle rifles and so on. You can also create custom maps and download new map packs all the time.

The online experience cannot be rivaled. The game is designed to be played on Xbox LIVE. I’m sure the single player is fun, but nobody that I know even messes with it so be sure to have an Xbox LIVE account because that’s where it’s at with Halo 3. Not to worry if you don’t have one — Xbox LIVE is cheap, east-to-use, and virtually lag-free 99% of the time. The fun factor and replay value of the game cannot be beaten. Even though the game is awesome, be forewarned: The multiplayer experience will raise your blood pressure on more than one occasion. If you are like me and you are angered very easily, this game will certainly push your buttons at times during the online experience. Not to fret — it’s all part of the game. Just be sure to count to 10 and breathe deep.

5 Stars Halo
Game purchased for my son…it was a long wanted game so must be okay. He gave it the five stars.

1 Star HALO
”””””’we never received the product-SELLER TOOK OUR MONEY AND HAS NEVER SENT THE PRODUCT.

WE HAVE THRE TIMES TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SELLER AND GET NO RESPONSE. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE OUR MONEY BACK.

5 Stars If you own a 360 don’t pass this one up
One of the best games the xbox 360 has to offer. Its online multiplayer is the best available to date.

5 Stars Halo 3 and it’s Legion of Nerds
If you hadn’t heard of this game, don’t fear! There’s a legion of nerds backing this game up with delicious steamy reviews. It’s a prime title for Xbox 360 and as being a prime title, it comes with so much. First off, the campaign is the single reason that most people buy Halo 3, it is the continuation of the Halo 2 cliff hanger that made most of us throw our controllers at the TV and left us cursing. This single player experience is the best because it’s story never stops and does not take a break. It’s always focused between the two main characters and never breaking them as they did in Halo 2. With scoring game system and 4 player co-op, skulls, and even the occasional Easter egg makes this single player experience has a lot of replay value. Now with it’s award winning multiplayer, this game will have you playing online just to get that level fifty. With armor unlockables, and EXP this just makes multiplayer experience even more. Another is forge and with online sharing of maps, you never get bored downloading the latest created maps.

4 Stars It is time to save the universe–AGAIN!
If I had to evaluate Halo3 just on Campaign mode then it would be 2 stars. I don’t think anyone buys games anymore for how well they do single player play. Now it is all about multiplayer.

Halo3, multiplayer, introduces so many awesome new things that it is really difficult to list them all. The standard gameplay if you just jump into matchmaking has not, so far, been completely dominated by the sniper rifle. I don’t think I’ve been sniped more than a few times in several hours of gameplay. That is a HUGE departure from Halo2 where you could be virtually guaranteed getting sniped several times per game.

Personally i think it is too easy to shoot players off the mongoose but I suppose everyone has their own preference. I’m just glad that the sniper rifle seems to have been leveled out–it had completely overwhelmed nearly every map on Halo2.

The addition of the Forge and of Theater are almost too good to believe. Theater, with some practice, lets you make VERY high quality movies of the action in your past several games. You can do all kinds of neat tricks with this. The main limitation is that I don’t currently see a way to export video off Live and on to the computer. I know people can do it but it isn’t a built-in function.

Overall, really impressed. Nice work Bungie.

5 Stars Worth the Price for the Episodes Alone…
What an amazing deal! This package includes Team Fortress, Portal, and the new Half Life 2 episodes, plus a remake of the original that fixes a LOT of problems. First off, the graphics are improved (the floors are a bit shinier, etc.) Secondly, the frame rate is AWESOME (it was horrible in the original version) and the save system is just as great as ever.

The best Sci-Fi FPS pack in history. Buy it now!

5 Stars Great game
Valve put together a great package here. Portal is better with a mouse, but then *everything* is. Hadn’t played HL2 in ages and Eps 1 & 2 are good as well. And Portal and TF2 are nothing to scoff at. Thoroughly recommend for the FPS fan.

4 Stars if only the freeman would freeroam a little
i’m a mature gamer who bought a dozen videogames with an xbox to see how the technology has evolved. i played the half life and portal games on a 42″ lcd screen and had great fun with them. the visual design is beautiful and the landscapes are interesting to explore. the action sequences involve the first person annihilation of some fairly rudimentary skull suckers, soldiers and zombielike critters with various firearms, and using a gravity gun to hurl and smash anything else. there is always enough health and ammo to keep you going, and a few puzzle tasks here and there to change the tempo. my main complaint is the plotting: your avatar, dr. freeman, is continually pushed into one plot exigency or another by the whims and decisions of his female companion, alex vance, who is certainly sexy in her low riders and tight jacket but is highhanded and in the end annoying. i was sorry my gravity gun did not enable me to give her a good spanking. but off i went, here and there, at her bidding, and once i forgot it was her idea in the first place the missions were compelling to complete: the whole dystopian world of aliens and biomorphs is spectacularly detailed. i encountered none of the bugs or glitches reported by other reviewers, but it’s a shame that the engine must stop the action to load from disk as often as it does.

5 Stars Best thing on Amazon
I would happily pay $100 for this box of games. I love HL and the series, and am an old TFC fan. This game revived my fandom. Portal is awesome, and TF2 is a blast. This is a must have for any gamer with a bit of pride in their collection.

5 Stars This game sounds like a hell of alot of fun.
Based on the reviews…. this game sounds really fun. But what i want to know is does it require xbox live? None of the reviews mentioned this.

1 Star COD4 is much better. Pick it up instead.
I was not too impressed with this game after the dust settled. I haven’t touched it once since I got COD4. Honestly if I compare this to COD4 I would say halo loses on all fronts fun, online, graphics. I just fell for all the hype of halo and I liked the first one, this one is a lot better than part 2 though.

5 Stars Great Game Overall, Halo 4? Halo Movie?
Halo 3 was a great game and has a great multiplayer experience but does the legendary ending mean halo 4, a new book, expansion, or even a movie, but the campaign was awesome and was very fun so i give it 5 stars

3 Stars Warming Up
I wasn’t a very big fan of the earlier Halo games, but my brother pestered me into buying this for him. It’s actually more interesting than I thought it would be. Game play isn’t too difficult and the graphics are pretty intense. It’s definitely easy to say that I’m warming up to the series.

5 Stars Best multiplayer for the 360
The whole game is awesome but the multiplayer is the best for the 360 I feel because of the all the different game types and the fact that you can make your own maps from scratch which is one of the coolest features of the game.

5 Stars Fun game overall
Its not as good as people were expecting but thats because of all the hype, its a fun game, the single player mode will keep you busy for awhile but multipalyer can provide hundreds of hours of fun. Even if you don’t like shooters much its a great game.
