5 Stars Honest revew of the MD XBox
Okay, I haven’t seen any honest reviews of this system and since I’ve had mine for over a year now, I figured I’d put a review up for it. This system, as mentioned, was free from codes. I acquired mine at a yard sale and have found it to be a very good, dependable XBox. See, long before the 360’s RROD, XBox had other problems. Namely, the first set had lousy DVD-Rom drives. I know as I watched my friend tears his apart to fix them. This system, doesn’t have that. It was created later using the better DVD-Rom drive. The only problem I’ve had with it is the DVD rom drawer not opening properly on occassion, but that has gone away after using the paperclip trick.

Bottom line, the color choice is personal, and yes… $900-$275-$200 is probably a bit steep for this system, but the prices now are definitely reasonable and I imagine you’d have less issues with this machine than you would say, buying one at gamestop for $60. I love this system, even regardless of the deal I got on it.

It gets the full five stars from me. I just wish amazon would remove these dated comments that have nothing to do with the system itself, because idiots thought it was a 360. It’s obviously the same XBox with a different colored casing and it’s an excellent edition of the XBox.

1 Star Weak Sauce
Xbox is obsolete, why pay $300 for a bright green Xbox when you could buy a new Wii for the same price or throw $100-200 more for a X360?

5 Stars What is going on???
Alright, something is messed up here. Why the heck are people raving on about xbox if this is a Nintendo Wii controller?? Wii is awesome! someone please tell me why everyone is shouting about xbox on a Wii product!!

3 Stars Read the description…before you open your mouth!
Where are you people getting the idea that this is a 360? Nowhere in the description does it state that this is an xbox 360. Maybe everyone should pay a little more attention to detail before going off on crazy tangents, it just makes you look foolish. This is a special limited edition xbox console, the lime green color and special ‘mountain dew’ center jewel are unique to this edition. This xbox is one of the only special edition systems released in the U.S., the other one was the halo special edition (translucent green). This machine is a collector’s item, if you are a collector then I’m sure the hefty price tag is not a problem, but if not I suggest you look elsewhere for an original xbox–you can find a standard black console at target for around $150. If you are looking for a 360 wait ’till April…or if you are smart wait longer, until the inevitable price drop and the second and third gens are released (less bugs/glitches in the subsequent generations). As for the person that mentioned buying a PS3, well good luck with that b/c sony is not releasing its next-gen console until sometime in 2007…

1 Star From $900 to $275 is the reason!!!!!
These are the same 2 sellers I saw 2 months ago selling this Xbox for $900. I check now and it is only $275!!!! I can see why it is one third of the price. It is ugly, and it says Mountain Dew on it. Who would want something that says Mountain Dew on it instead of Xbox? Also, for any of you who thought it was a 360, it is not. Mountain Dew gave these units away for free when they had the “look under you cap thing”!! It is worth 1 cent. It comes with a black S controller. Shouldn’t it come with a green controller to match it? Do NOT NOT NOT buy it!!!!!!

1 Star Hello?
I wouldn’t know about this product because I have not received it. Amazon.com said to email the company before reviewing the product, which I did. I have yet to receive a reply from the company about why I have not yet received my product. If I don’t get it soon, I will be demanding a refund. The product might be good, but don’t get it from the company I ordered from, which is CYG.

5 Stars Works just fine.
The mic works fine and it is easily installed. I just plugged it into one of the USB ports of my wii and it works for Guitar Hero.

Xbox 360 8 HD Component Cable

Xbox 360 8 HD Component Cable

Pelican’s Live Wire Component cable provides optimal video signal transfer for high definition TVs.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star No digital audio
Digital audio does not work, video does. I gave it one star because it has a completely broken feature. Unacceptable!

5 Stars Works perfectly, inexpensive, a little short
Plan on keeping your 360 somewhat near to your television, this isn’t the world’s longest cable, but the quality is great, it has component hookups and also works as a regular hook up. This is the least expensive cable I could find on the internet and for the money it is fantastic. Amazon must have sent it right away because I got it within 3 days despite choosing “super saver shipping.” I’ve had it for over a month now and I’m 100% satisfied. Just pay attention to the length and make sure that you don’t plan on placing your 360 a long distance away (i.e. outside your entertainment system would probably be too far,) although most people keep their entertainment peripherals in the vicinity of their TV anyway so this shouldn’t be a problem for 99% of users.

2 Stars This component video cable does NOT provide digital audio!
This component video cable for the Xbox 360 does not provide digital audio. While it does have a hole/slot to plug an optical audio cable into, the slot does not work. I plugged an optical audio cable into the slot, and ran the other end to my digital audio/video receiver. Low and behold, NO digital audio! Do yourself a favor and buy another version of the cable (such as the Microsoft version) if you plan on using digital audio with your Xbox 360. When I used the MS version of the cable the digital audio works great! On a positive note, the component video for this cable does work if that’s all you need.

1 Star NOT AN HDMI CABLE
This is completly mislabled. HDMI is a plug that looks like an oversized USB cable. ONLY NEWER HD SETS even have an HDMI slot. HDMI is a newer form of the Digital DVI cable seen on many PC video cards.

Component HD cables which come with the XBOX 360, even though they produce true HD, are only an ANALOGUE cable.

HDMI is a DIGITAL HD cable.

It’s like the difference between a coaxal audio and an optical audio cable. Both can produce true 5.1 surround sound but one is analogue, the other is digital.

As far as I know, there is no HDMI cables on the market for the 360 yet. I found this mislabled product while searching for the release date of the HDMI cable.

1 Star Digital Audio does not work
I bought these cables right before the Xbox 360 came out. Soon afterwards, I hooked it up and couldn’t get the digital audio to work. The receiver noticed it was getting a signal, but apparently the cable was corrupting it. Don’t waste the money on these. Spend the money on first party accessories.

Xbox 360 Pro 60GB HDMI Jasper Console with XCM Chameleon LED Case Modification

Xbox 360 Pro 60GB HDMI Jasper Console with XCM Chameleon LED Case Modification

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Visually amazing! Just what I wanted
I’ve had this unit now for a few weeks and truly love it!! I first purchased this unit to ensure that I received the very latest console with the Jasper chipset; My previous console (purchased in 2005) finally succumbed to the dreaded 3rod and I felt that this was good time to upgrade to the latest model with the HDMI connector; Trying to find a console with the latest Jasper chipset is like searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack and while I truly wanted the latest chipset I also wanted a console with a bit of personality. And that is what this console provides, it is visually stunning to look at and the performance is excellent! The drive is very quiet and there is virtually no noise or vibration from the unit when it is on. I am what you might call a marathon gamer (I game for as long as 7 or 8 hours sometimes) and one thing I appreciate is that this unit does not freeze or have the dreaded ‘Disk read error’. All in all a very beautiful and functional unit!!

Xbox 360 Rechargeable Controller Battery Pack White

This Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack powers your Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with 25 hours of play per charge.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Limited Lifetime
Apparently Amazon thinks this is battery pack is a game, haha…

Oh well… the pack is good… But won’t last forever… mine lasted about a year and a half.

5 Stars Great
Must-have if you don’t feel like changing batteries every week or so saves alot of money in the long run.

5 Stars great product
I have 3 of these battery packs and the quick charger. Its the worst when you’re in the middle of a game (esp online) and your batteries die. For $12, these battery packs are pretty much a no-brainer. They’re solidly made (though I still hate the clam-shell packaging which makes it hard to open) and I’ve recharged a single pack, easily two dozen times. So far as I can tell, it still has full charge. Think about it this way – a package of AA batteries costs about $8-10 depending on where you go. You’ll burn through those batteries in a month or two, or shorter if you use the netflix feature on x-box live and forget to turn off your controller while watching. Your usage will obviously greatly vary, but you could be conceivably paying $30-40/year on batteries!

$12 for a battery pack.

1 Star Don’t buy the pink one
I have had a battery for my white controller for several years and havn’t had any problems. I bought a pink controller and i didn’t use it for a few weeks and it wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. So i bought another one which i uses on a more regular basis, and it stopped holding a charge and it’s only been a few months. I kept it plugged up for like a day, and it starting working again like normal. It worked for about two weeks and now it won’t charge again. I can keep it plugged up for hours and as soon as i unplug it it cuts off. I would give my white battery pack five stars, but the pink one is junk.

5 Stars Lasts Long Pink Battery
This was a great deal! The battery lasts very long before you have to charge it and it gets great distance. I recommend buying this if you have a pink controller and need a battery pack.
